Today I celebrate my 30th birthday. Unlike my wife, I don’t get very sentimental about birthdays, but I guess I’d have to admit that this one is a milestone.
I am blessed beyond what I deserve. I’ve been married to the woman of my dreams for nearly 10 years, and we have four wonderful children.
I’ve also been blessed in business. I am very grateful, but at the same time I am not surprised.
If you’ve been around Eric’s Tips for awhile, you might know I’ve written about VISION on several occasions (See Lesson #13). About 10 years ago, I got a vision for my online business. That vision has been modified and adapted over the years, but the underlying big picture has remained fairly constant.
I believe that this vision has been integral in driving me to where I am today.
And perhaps you remember when I talked about goal-setting in Lesson #14. After you get your vision, you should set goals to help you move toward your vision.
Most of my long term goals are expiring on my 30th birthday, and I’ve achieved many of them.
So guess what that means? It’s time for me to get a new vision for my life, and set new goals!
Regardless of whether you’re 13, 30, or 93, I encourage you to get a vision for your life.

Happy 30th. You’ve been an inspiration to me and I’m sure to all your readers. I’m in the process of going over your lessons from the beginning. It’s amazing how much you get the second time around. I especially need to go over the Visions and Goal setting lessons. I find that it’s so easy to get distracted when working online that reviewing your goals brings you back.
I’m very impressed with your achievments and you’re still a young pup at 30.
I’m a young 51 and I hope to do as well as you online – even though at times it looks impossible.

hmm, yes I remember 30. My daughter was 14 years old already. Now 18 years later I’m a grand mother. I love that you are living your dreams and have accomplished your goals.
And how important it is to continue to update those “life maps”.

Congrats! I just passed my 30th birthday and it was actually fairly difficult for me. 30 is like the “finally grown up” age…even though I’ve been grown up for many years, 30 is a reality check age for sure.

I had problems on Wednesday, decided to reformatt my machine, then on Thursday found out my telephone line outside the house had a problem. lol being on dial up thats not a good thing. Everyone remember to save all your work. It can really make a difference. Congratulations again on the new little one, treasure them all they grow so fast. My Eric is 41 this year.
