Check Out This Art!

Special Edition – 01/02/2007

I want to take a moment to hopefully brighten your day, if I can…

It won’t cost a penny.

A couple months ago, someone told my wife about a child prodigy named Akiane. When I say prodigy, I mean it in every sense of the word. She’s a rare gift of God.

You can see some examples of her artwork and poetry on her site:

http://artakiane.com/home.htm

Be inspired! I certainly was.

This is in no way a “pitch”, but just in case you’re interested you can get her book on Amazon for about half of what is listed on her website (I gave it to several of my friends and family for Christmas).

As always, you can leave your comments here in the blog.

Have a great day!

Eric you are absolutely right. Akiane is definitely a gift from God. A person would have to be blind not to see that. Unbelievable. Thanks. This may not be the place to ask this question but some time back there were several IM’s promoting a piece of software or script to speed up clicks on Icons on the desk top. Seems that MS had been forced to give up their right to that and so the slow down of our computers. The question is: Who is selling this software. I would like to check it out.

    Thanks,

    Victor

This “Master” surely has been “touched by the Master’s hand”. There was a bit about her on our local news, but I was in another room and didn’t really catch it. Now we know what the face of Jesus will look like when we see him “face to face”. And to think, she comes from Idaho! We have a lot more here than spuds!

Thank you Eric for the link to Arkiane’s site. I had previously not heard of this blessed child and am in absolute awe, as always, at God’s work among His people. Praise Him!
I received another email this morning from a friend dealing with someone else using his God given talents. With your permission, I’d like to post this here.

A University professor at a well-known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question.

“Did God create everything that exists?”

A student bravely replied, “Yes he did!”

“God created everything?” The professor asked.

“Yes sir, he certainly did,” the student replied.

The professor answered, “If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil.”

The student became quiet and did not answer the professor’s hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, “May I ask you a question, professor?” “Of course,” replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, “Professor does cold exist?”

“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?”

The other students snickered at the young man’s question.

The young man replied, “In fact, sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat. And all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.”

The student continued, “Professor, does darkness exist?”

The professor responded, “Of course it does.”

The student replied, “Once again you are wrong, sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton ‘s prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn’t this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present.”

Finally the young man asked the professor, “Sir, does evil exist?”

Now uncertain, the professor responded, “Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man’s inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.”

To this the student replied, “Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light.”

    The professor sat down.

The young man’s name — Albert Einstein

I am not a Christian or Jew, so I appreciate *not* getting Judeo-Christian “God” inspired messages. I do not want to be “converted” or “saved”, nor do I wish to donate to or promote any Christian-based causes, no matter how “inspiring” the touchy-feely marketing content may be to some. Thank you for giving me and my religion the same respect I give you and yours, i.e., not shoving it down your throat or assuming without cause that you are interested in promoting mine.

    Eric,
Akiane’s site is ABSOLUTLY awsome! Without a doubt, one of the most inspirational I have EVER seen!
There is no doubt in my mind she is a prodigy of God! Not just the art, but her poems as well. I will send the
link to everyone I know! Looking at the paintings and reading the poems brought many tears to my eyes.
Akiane is truely a blessed child!

    Veronica,
Thank you for that wonderful post. If I may, I would like to send that to all my friends. I have been looking for the
mathematical equation to prove GOD’s existance. Wonderful post Veronica! Email me at walter@wmgsystems.com

    Gina,
You have every right to your beliefs or disbeliefs. I have studied religion a little more than most. All religions have
one thing in common, a GOD or GODS. He/They give you the right of choice. Your choice! You beleive or not, your
    choice.

    Once again Eric, THANKS!
