Illuminate Christian Marketing Conference

By | September 10, 2008

Once again, I have to apologize for the delay in getting the lessons done. I’ve been very busy lately outside of my Internet marketing life, which is why I haven’t had a chance to post any new lessons in the past week.

I don’t feel the need to share everything I’ve got going on, but just to give you a taste…

I’m executive producing a CD and have been spending quite a bit of time in the recording studio. Also been busy with family stuff. A couple nights ago during the middle of our oldest daughter’s birthday party, our son fell and broke his arm. Those of you who are parents know how it hurts to see your kids get hurt.

Earlier this summer he broke his other arm, so now that he’s broken both of them I trust that he can live the rest of his life without needing to break any more!

So again sorry for the delay of the lessons, but rest assured I have NOT given up on the project. I will be finishing the series and posting each lesson as they are completed… I’ve just come to the realization that it will have to be at my own pace.

OK, so today I need to let you know about something cool.

Next month (October 10th-12th) the first ever Christian Internet Marketing seminar is going to happen!

(I know I have readers of many different faiths, so if this doesn’t apply to you, don’t get offended and just don’t worry about it.)

I think this is very exciting, because it’s something that the industry has needed for a long time. I’ve gone to several Internet marketing seminars over the past few years, and it seems like at every one of them someone says… “hey they should do something like this specifically for Christian marketers…”

But up until now it had been all talk, and nobody had taken the initiative to make it happen.

Now a young man by the name of Alejandro Reyes is making it happen. If you’re not familiar with Alejandro, he’s an up and coming marketing star who is becoming well known in the affiliate world, and made over $100k in his first year online.

He’s put together a fantastic lineup of teachers for the seminar, and it’s going to be a great event. The list of speakers includes Joel Comm, Jermaine Griggs, Jeff Mills, Paul Counts, Gary Zelesky, John Di Lemme, Ruddy Ortiz, Wade Tonkin, Jason Marshall, Sanyika Calloway, Monikah Ogando, and Eric Farewell… plus plenty of VIP’s in attendence.

PLUS… I’ll be there 🙂

I want to support this event, and I think there will be some great networking opportunities, so I’m planning of being there along with my wife.

When it comes to doing business, it’s great to be able to network and do joint ventures with “like minded” people.

Now don’t get the wrong idea…

Just because this is a “Christian” event, that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a church service or something. It’s going to be packed full of REAL money making strategies to improve your business and your life.

Alejandro and the other teachers are truly passionate about helping you find success, and I think this is going to be a wonderful environment for you to learn in.

So it’s going to be a great event, but here’s where it gets even better…

It’s DIRT CHEAP!

I don’t think you will find a more affordable Internet marketing seminar of this caliber anywhere on the planet. So if you’ve been wanting to go to a seminar, but finances were holding you back, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Just to give you some comparison…

One seminar that I’ve attended in the past a couple times is the Underground Seminar. I typically pay about $2,000 for my ticket to that seminar PLUS Yanik always picks hotels that are in the $200-$350/per night range.

The price of the Illuminate Christian Marketing Conference is a crazy $197 (price goes up at the end of the month), and the hotel rooms are only $129.

I’m telling you, that’s as cheap as it gets.

I encourage you to take a closer look and reserve your spot at:

Click Here for Illuminate Christian Marketing Conference

After this, I will not be going to any more seminars this year, so this would be a great chance for us to meet and you can ask me any questions that you may have about Internet marketing.

I would love to see you there.

Have a great day!

    Eric,
I’m a Catholic and consider myself pretty religious and I wasn’t offended by your promotion of your conference. But I do understand why some people might object to it. Religion is a touchy subject these days, especially in an election year, and the Christian Right has been demonized by the left as a bunch of born again zealots (as if they’re not). And even I don’t like to get drawn into a religios event unless I opt to do it on my own volition. Don’t take me wrong because I think our society has gotten too secular. But I sort of prefer to keep my religion and my spirituality private.

    Hi Eric,
    Congratulations on your new endeavors!
Don’t worry about offending people. It’s their choice to see things negatively or positively and it’s their choice to be angry or not. If they don’t want to be part of a christian event, then they don’t have to go. What do they care if someone else wants to.

    Eric,

I respect your right to hold any kind of marketing conference you want. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We respect your right to worship and support Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in any way that you see fit. We may not agree on all points of doctrine but each of must make our own path. I believe in the grocery store method. If I can use it I take it home if not I leave it on the shelf.

Your work in internet marketing is of great benefit to me. Keep up the good work.

    Dear Eric –

I read your blog on the Christian Marketing Conference. I am not Christian nor would I be interested in such a meeting, but I comletely agree with your right to announce this program. As someone else noted, it is your post, you pay the hosting fees for the website and I do not feel as though you were – crossing the line – so to speak. I feel that the service you provide through your lessons and insights is truly valuable and I appreciate it. Thanks for all you do!

    Hey Eric,

Wow I cannot believe people are getting upset about you promoting an Christian internet seminar on your own blog. Plus your deliver was in now way pushy but just a simple message about an upcoming seminar

I am not a christian but have a deep love for the message of Jesus and all the great saints and a genuine respect for all religions.
So well done for having your convictions and promoting faith and good living as well as creating wealth and abundance and teaching others to do so as well.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

    Hi Eric,
I am new to internet marketing.
I really appreciate all you do here for us newbies.
Let me just say that I would love to attend this conference if I was able.
Unfortunately I can not at this time.
I would not let any negative comments written here bother me.
Christians, etc, all need and want products and work and buy products just like everybody else.
Someone has to sell these products, and people want these products.
So someone has to market these products.
What the heck is wrong with that.
Marketing to me is simply supply and demand.
And letting people know where they can get the best product for them, that they already want to buy anyway.
You can market products that are not in good taste, and take it up with the lord later,I guess.
I reckon some will see who wins that one,
    and some will not.
I would rather market and sell products I can be proud of.
Either way have fun at the conference.
    Wish I could be there.
    Best wishes,
    GregM

You seem to be a great guy, and I love your valuable tips.
However, as soon as I saw your reference to a Christian IM conference, I rolled my eyes and deleted the email.
    Sorry – just not interested.
So many of the ‘Religious’ people I know are absolute crackpots, and unfortunately don’t practice what they preach.

Religion can be divisive – always has been. And I can quote chapter and verse about “religion” from Christ’s point of view. But that’s not what I’m about here… I know faith is different from religion at least to some, but since most don’t really know the difference I use the term generally. If “different” comments are welcome, perhaps commentators need to learn to address the issues without lowering the conversation to personal attacks when someone offers a different viewpoint.

    Hi Michaela,
Re some of the points in your posting above.
The product is free. Postage is not the product but the means to people being able to receive the product. Sometimes a free product is downloadable, which obviously doesn’t incur postage, but other times the product is hard copy as it is in this case.
The Stompernet DVDs are free to subscribers, but if anyone doesn’t wish to subscribe they can still get the product but they will pay the normal purchase price of $497.
As is made quite clear on the website, the reason the DVD course is being given away is to promote Stompernet’s new magazine which, after the free first edition, which is included in the postage package with the DVDs, will become a monthly membership which will cost $39.95 a month. I couldn’t find mention of a price of $19.95 which you said is on the site, nor can I see anything about 2 memberships, or any $97 DVD courses etc.
I do however agree with you that sites offering a one month free membership to whatever the offer is, can be very tricky. It is so easy to forget when the free month is up. Therefore I refuse to join them unless I know that I can afford at least one more month of membership. When the bonuses for SN2 are released, I will not be joining any bonuses that offer a one month free membership, and neither you nor anyone else, is obliged to join them either. In fact, it isn’t compulsory to download any bonuses, either from SN2 or any other site.
Beginners don’t have to compete with anyone, either gurus or other beginners. People get to be gurus because they were once beginners who kept focused on learning and taking action.
You may be a beginner now, but, in time, if you just focus on learning and taking action on just one method of making money via the internet, you may well become a guru in that field. It’s something I’m aspiring to myself, not because I want to be known as a guru, but because gurus are making money, generally lots of it.
So, hang in there. Learn whatever you can from SN2 and the first edition of their magazine “The Net Effect”. If you do not wish to continue the monthly membership, notify them straight away and then you will not be charged any more fees.
As for the M.F. membership, check the site to make sure that you sent your cancellation to the correct address. You can also contact your credit card supplier and ask that the M.F. site be prevented from taking any further payments. They may also be able to help you recover some of the payments already made.
    With kindest regards

    Hi Eric,

I was not offended by you marketing a Christian Maeketing Conference. I’m not a Christian but it really surprises me how many intelligent people belive in this myth. As a child and young adult I was active in church but just like Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, and The Boogey Man I came to see it for the fiction of comfort that it is. You should look at the ancient Egyptian sun god Horus and see the remarkable similarities between that character and the so called Jesus. Their lives are identical and by the way mythical.

Wake up, it’s a nice dream but that’s all it is.

I hope this day brings you happiness.

In answer to your question … NO I WAS NOT OFFENDED by your e-mail. On the contrary, I was SHOCKED that ANYONE could possibly have been offended in any way by your simply making your readers AWARE of an upcoming marketing event.

It’s been said many times before, but I’ll repeat it anyway … this is YOUR BLOG and you have the right to post whatever you wish although I know that I would never read anything offensive or unethical here.

I feel sorry for those that were offended in any way but as I see it they have two options:

1 – Ignore the post as it doesn’t pertain to them OR

2 – Hit the “unsubscribe” link.

You are providing a much needed service to your readers with integrity and at ZERO COST!!!

Your supporters FAR OUTWEIGH the dissenters so keep the faith and “to thine own self be true”.

P.S. I signed up for the StomperNet SEO course deal today.
The bonuses are now up to sixteen (16)which makes this a no-brainer BUT TIME IS RUNNING OUT for anyone interested because it vanishes on Monday, September 15, 2008.

We all have to answer for our ways of life and if we don’t do and live up to our belief’s , we are not what we ought to be. No matter what people thinks of us, we all need to put God first . By living our Christian life others might follow,by something we do or say. Maybe they have never thought of what is said or done. Keep up the good work .

    Renee,
I don’t know if you will get back to read this, but I want to extend my apology for what you experienced. Unfortunately “the church” has wounded more people against Christianity than most other experiences they have had. Please understand that there is a religion that carries the name of Christianity that is ugly and judgemental, huypocritically manipulating people for its own gain, whether it be money, power, or simply oneupmanship.
There is another form of Christianity that is about a personal relationship with a Risen Lord. The complicating factor is that in relationships, personalities are involved and things can get messy. Anyone that has been married very long will attest to this!!
From what little I know of the people involved with this website and this conference, I believe that they are the benign Christians that simply want to get together with others seeking to follow in their relationship Jesus, while fellowshipping and sharing with others that are working in the same profession. Please don’t let what idiots have done in the name of Christianity confuse the issue!!

I find it interesting that you got hate mail in regard to the Christian Marketing Conference. Are they to be excluded because of their faith? I thought this was a free country where everyone had a shot at success.
It has been my experience that people who condemn Christianity are feeling guilty about their life and their morals and by striking back they somehow hurt God. God is bigger than anything man can do to Him. This only shows who & what they are. You did the right thing Eric and don’t let these want-a-be’s tell you any different. God will bless your courage.

    Good Morning Eric,

Since sleep has fled I decided to come back and post a comment. First of all, my empathy is with you and your son for his pain. A painful lesson learned, I’m sure. It is ever hard to see one of your children suffer, whether while they are still in their youth or adults. My daughter was grown and married when she fell while rollerblading and shattered her wrist. That was probably ten years ago and the thoughts of it still sends a sick feeling through my stomach. You and he will be remembered in my prayers.

As to the Christian bashing, I am not surprised given the attitudes in this country now days. A lot of the “free thinkers” feel that although they have enjoyed the gifts of freedom in this country all their lives, a gift from our founding fathers devout Christians all, it is fine to take offense at anything associated with faith in Christ. I will be the first to admit that there are wolves in sheep’s clothing among the flock, those who label themselves Christians the better to take advantage of others, so they think. But I have to ask why does offense immediately arise at the thought of honest people who try in earnest to live as Christ has instructed us to joining together to better learn a skill and at the same time strengthen our own beliefs by associating with others with like beliefs? I have never tried under any circumstance to force my beliefs on others and am not offended if they choose to believe differently than myself. I am sure that you would be welcomed, what ever your beliefs. And if approached by others with a discussion of beliefs, a simple no thank you will in most cases stop any further approach.

But the lesson from history is clear. In pre-war Germany those who failed chose to blame the Jews for their failure. Is it not now the same in America. Only now it appears to be the Christian who must bear the weight of the failures of those who haven’t learned the skills and attitudes of success. I must also ask, if those who expressed offense at all things Christian, are you not also offended at your citizenship of this great country? Are you not offended by the freedom to pursue success as given by the constitution, written by a devout Christian? Or is it just easier to forget about who gave you those gifts while complaining about a life style you no doubt do not understand? You too will be remembered in my prayers that one day your understanding may be enlightened and you will recognize him whom you have chosen to follow for what he is. But your right of choice will also be remembered in prayer and protected for it is a gift from God.

    God bless.
    Ken

I’m keeping an open mind, not only about internet marketing, but to other peoples opinions and their journalistic choices. Respecting other peoples choices as well as your own is important. I wouldn’t tell another what to or what not to write, just as I won’t be told. If you don’t let the writer “Speak” his opinion in his writings, how would you ever know everything he/she has to say and gain insight to his/her point of view? In many cases just because an author writes about a subject, it’s not necessarily the authors opinion. It’s everyones point of view being different that makes it all the more interesting.

I am so sick of everyone getting their little feelings hurt over someone mentioning their faith. The fact that this is a Christian Marketing Conference stirs up ridiculous comments like that. When did we become a nation of atheists? Maybe if God (however) you view him was in many peoples lives today, we would not have the problems we have in this country! I am tired of pandering to the leftist wing nuts out there who say I cannot say the word Christmas or the like. If a Jewish person approached me and said Happy Hanukkah, I would be equally appreciative as if someone approached me and said Merry Christmas. It is the spirit in which the said it to me. Eric gives his time and knowledge etc to charitable organizations and travels to other parts of the world in the spirit of volunteerism and does not ask anyone to follow him. He merely advertised. If you are offended then step up and press delete! I am tired of the BS! Grow up people!

Two things are not discussed in an officer’s mess; religion and politics. It keeps things on an even keel – no heated personal feelings, very civilized. I’m not offended, but anything beyond a mention of the name of the event being “Christian Marketing Conference” is going to start people spouting. Eric, I too am surprised at the controversy (or on reflection, maybe I am not). First of all, I am not aligned to any religion. I live a peacful, satisfying life believing in my personal higher power. I do business with people from all countries, all colors, all religions. These are people.
I respect whatever their belief structures are as long it does not harm anyone else.
I have also long respected you as a caring, internet marketer who shares a great deal more than many. For that I, and hopefully others thank you. I have suspected your ‘religous’ background by observeing your travels and humanitiarian work. It has not biased my opinion of you, other than to confirm that you are a good person by helping others. After reviewing the comments, I say ‘People, leave it alone!’. Value a person for what he does, not the affiliation. One only has to look at the current political situation, both globally and even the US election, to see that religion can cause deep emotions that have little to do with what is right for the common good and peace.
Eric, please carry on with pride in your work and your personal efforts of contribution.

Eric, I see nothing wrong in you offering people a new venue in which to learn … should it suit their fancy. Internet marketers pitch events all the time … and either you’re interested or you’re not. The only thing I would hope is that you don’t let it distract you too much from the lessons you’ve been offering. Granted, they’re for free. But you have a lot of people who’ve invested their time, energy and heart in your leadership and knowledge. Don’t let them down.

There are some new things and research not ballyhooed by the pharmaceutical industry influenced AMA – but used effectively elsewhere throughout the world. As a mother, my heart aches for parents as well as children who are hurt! So I would certainly explore safe, additional measures to (1) strengthen bones and (2) promote faster healing (whether osteoporosis or just activity-caused breaks, like the ones I had). A couple of brilliant scientists and doctors you might want to consult are Dr. Irina and Dr. David @ http://snipurl.com/laserhome . They save me from a cardiovascular nightmare, and now we’re working on the osteopenia. (Osteoporosis does not have to be hereditary!)

Additionally, studies show that clost to 90% of Americans are deficient in vitamin D (most capsules are not bioabsorbable), especially with all the indoor/computer activity and sunblock. As younger adults, we need at least 2000 IUs/day (far above the government’s proclamation)from all sources, and our food gives little. Older Americans (I guess that’s me now) need a lot more. Minimum 20 minutes in sun daily, exposing at least 40% of body, PLUS supplementation with bioabsorbable calcium balanced with magnesium. A lot of the calcium problem is really a magnesium deficiency or imbalance with the calcium intake. Also, do NOT drink tap water with fluoride… It’s the chemical element know to leech more calcium out of the bones than any other! Cities with the highest fluoridation have the highest incidents of osteoporosis!

    Hope this helps.

This was an excellent and balanced post, Eric. Jason told me about the conference a while back, and I was elated. The principles of ethics, morality, giving, sharing, caring… well, those are the ones we want in business. It’s NOT to exclude anyone, but rather to have people who all believe in “white hat” and the same PERSONAL goals together to teach and learn to do it RIGHT!

Funny how some people take offense if you say Christian … but they are the first to say it’s okay to talk about magicians, muses, witchcraft (taught nicely in Harry Potter, whose author admits she’s a witch), the “Universe,” New Age, etc. These people wouldn’t have a problem if you had a conference entitled “New Age Marketing Conference,” or “Magic Marketing Conference,” or “Marketing Witchcraft to Secure Your Prospect to Do Your Bidding,” “The Universe Teaches About Marketing Success!”

    Hi Eric,

You promoted the New Age Stuff and none of these people blamed you for being divisive by promoting a religious theme.

As usual these pseudo liberals are anything but tolerant. Particularly of Christians. I know of no other group that offends their bloated sense of political correctness. Although Christian Republicans and Hi Profile conservatives are very familiar with this acidic drivel.

Eric You Cannot be Responsible for the OverSensitivity of Your Readers. Let them stew.

That “strong trend” is a great deal smaller than the amount of influence these athiests have in our nation. The last statistics I read had them at 14% or less.

Sounds like the great and powerful Wizard of Oz projecting a big scary image. I have chosen to not be a believer. What I do not believe in is the 14% minority being allowed to have sway over our freedoms. I am thankful for the overwhelming supportive responses here that actually reflect the position of entrepreneurs. How did the entitled few find there way here anyway? Wanting an easy buck? This is hard work.
Somedays the best thing you can do is get help to keep believing in your vision, who better to help than the One with the original vision?

    Hello Veronica:

The $19.95 (actually $19.99 plus shipping and handling) is for the monthly “StomperNet Insider’s DVD” which is a training video meant to accompany the monthly “Net Effect” magazine (@ $39.95 plus shipping).

The $97.00 was an offer to buy 5 video training courses consisting of 64 videos in total on the premise that you buy 1 @ $97.00 and you receive the other 4 training courses for FREE.

I hope this helps to clarify the matter.
