Contrary to what some of the so-called guru’s may say, having an online business is not for everyone. But in order to judge whether it’s a good fit for you, we first must define what an online business is and what it isn’t.
Please watch the following video:
Main points:
a) get over your fear
or
b) decide to be happy with your job, and forget about starting a business
Action steps:
1) Answer the following question honestly:
Do I want to run my own business?
As always, you are welcome to post your questions and comments below.
Have a great day!
Great idea Paul. I think I will try it.
Thanks Eric. I am ready to go. I have had little businesses before and loved them. They were limited in how big they could get by their nature. This one I want to build to be big. I am excited about getting going. I find businesses creative and independent, which is fun.

Yes, I want to be in business (again), its the best way to control your own destiny, but you got to have the right business model.. I had the wrong business model that’s the reason I have to start over again (at 68 years of age)can’t live off of social security.. if I/m going to survive its business or nothing
Hi, i live in Qatar and Kenya. do you think i can run an online business successfully based on your teachings?

Yes, there are people who have found success in online marketing all around the world!
Thanks Eric
I look forward to summoning enough courage this time to go ahead and start the business. Yes I know I want to start a business on the internet and I know exactly what I want to do but I get cold feet because I have serious technophobia. I’m afraid to start making my own website even when I have instructions because I’m afraid to fail.It helps to read other people’s comments and ideas. One thing I am is determined. Giving up is not an option. But do you have a cure for my technophobia? Thanks again.
Some great points… I have refusbish computer business, looking for affilicates, any ideas.
Roger
I want to start a business and it will be launched in October ….in french.
Yes, I am french speaking but I hope translate the website in english and I need a english speaking partner to do it and to manage its customers.
You will see the concept with a video in both languages on the website http://www.infaillible.org and with a good translator, you can probably understand the french text below.
Thank’s for your attention.

Eric starts his instruction on marketing information products here:
I grew up in a “Christian Environment” where I was “taught” that money is not important and it is better off to be poor and was afraid to success.
A few days ago, I found this verse. Deuteronomy 8:19 “Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth”
The fear is GONE !!

Eric…Lesson two of 100. Great, let’s keep going and learning.
Eric,
After the economic decline, we have had to accept that our small trucking company has finally become bankrupt, and my husband has been forced to take a “job” for the first time in his life. I am home bound due to a chronic illness. Our bills are about to cause us to lose our home as well. I have been praying that I would be guided to something with honesty and integrity that I could do from home.I knew instantly that I had found it when I listened to your testimonial. LOL I once sold manufactured homes, too. I was in sales all of my life, ending up in real estate, HA HA. Then I got sick. Oh well, sorry to go on so long, just wanted to say how excited I am to finally find a course I can believe in. I want to be able to tithe once again! God Bless You and the Guys!
Amen Nathan!!
Hi Eric, I don’t know if I’m ready to answer your question just yet. Perhaps after viewing a few more lessons GOD will help me decide. THANKS John W

Hi Eric, In your videos you talk about tweeking and renaming other products you receive. What if you don’t know enough to make the product better? You seem to know alot and can make those changes. I on the other hand would not be able to do this. (I am a complete newbie to this business) Also the terminology is what throws me and of course information overload. In answer to some of the questions about what is an online business or offline business. I would assume that an offline business is a brick and motar business that is for walk in traffic nothing to do with the internet. An online business is like the one you are doing where there is no retail store to go to to purchase these products. Is this a correct assumption? Thanks for the lessons and the time you are putting in. When you train someone you have to remember to not assume anything. Take talking to a 3 or 4 year old. Everything you say they take literally and maybe not what you “meant” Trainers have a habit of talking at their level of understanding and not at the newbies level of understanding. I am sure as a family man you understand about talking to children and keeping it simple so they understand what you are trying to make them understand. Hope this makes sense to you. So far I am understanding you.
Hi Eric
I posted a question yesterday and not only can I not find an answer … I can’t find my original poat! Am I doing something wrong?
Love the videos!! I’m trying to be patient and learn each step carefully. I listen to each lesson 2 or 3 times. But I can’t wait to get to the part about when to know if I should quit my job!!!! I don’t like the regular 9-5 sitting in a cubicle all day routine.
Thank you Eric!!
Thanks for the lesson Eric.
one strong and definite YES! I wan an online business. As I’m a beginner, I still don’t know all the steps I should take to build one, but for sure, i WANT it!

I have already answered this question for myself. By the way, I like the music. π
I’m ready
I can not agree more that everyone should not try starting their own business!
It IS a myth that anyone can do it.
Truth is…not everyone has the discipline to keep working at something consistently…
And then there are those that actually really DO have so many other obligations and absolutes in their lives that adding the time that it takes to put into an online business (at the very least during start up) to amke it successful can lead to OVERWHELM.
That is where I am right now actually. I am a full time home school mom of 9 with an already busy business owning husband. I started an online business that is doing okay, and though there are other models that would have taken less time…the learning curve has had me up until 3 and 4 a.m. far too many times and I am just plain tired.
Please consider your energy levels and personal convictions and what you are willing to continually put into it OR NOT and what your priorities are before you attempt any online business…..because it will become a HOLE THAT WILL END UP SUCKING YOUR SAVINGS and then you may end up giving up and quitting.
You biz idea may not be a bad one….but it if you are not willing to pay the price….it easily may turn out bad for you. Count the cost…and then double it for reality!
Sorry to ramble on! (and no I have not quit! π
Best wishes to ALL!
Kim
I would love to watch the videos if the missing plugin that isn’t missing wasn’t missing.
Hello Ruth,
Here is a link that should help you to be able to view the videos properly:
Sometimes the quickest solution is to view the page in a different browser (Chrome, FireFox, IE, etc).
Kim,
I definitely agree with you. My husband and I have been self-employed for about 10 years now. He is a sales manager marketing the local newspaper. I do all the order processing for him, so I already work from home. He works about 12 hrs almost 7 days per week. I started the online business to be able to pull him into it at some point. I’m finding that the learning curve is very extensive and requires a lot of hours. I know we will make this work, but it won’t happen over night.
I agree with you when you say…count the cost both time and money. Like any business you can’t just snap your finger and make it happen.
Good luck to all!
Dena
