Thus far, I’ve given my definition of what an online business is, and I’ve given you what I feel are a few prerequisites to becoming a successful online business owner.
So now let’s get more detailed as we drill down closer to what you’ll actually be doing. A lot of people say they want to make money on the internet, but they really have no idea what that looks like in real life.
One of the problems is that there are literally thousands of ways to make money on the internet…

Your action step today is optional. And it’s simple:
1) look around and see how big the picture is, and how numerous the opportunities are.
If you want to look around and see what else is out there, now is the time… NOT when we’re on lesson #55 and you’re in the middle of following my online business blueprint. Because once we get started, I want you to commit to following through and finishing it, because if you don’t finish it you won’t succeed with it.
Now IF you do go out and research some of the opportunities I’ve just mentioned, remember what I said in Lesson #3… don’t buy stuff unless you know what you’re doing!
I know this goes against the grain of what most marketers would do in my situation. I should be reeling you in and hooking you on my own idea. But I don’t want to do that. I want you to understand the scope of opportunity out there, and then choose to follow my lessons because you WANT to. Not just because you feel like its your only option. And if you’re confident in your decision to follow my blueprint, you’ll be much more focused, and you’ll be more likely to stay the course.

No idea how did I discover this Blog.
I am an eBay´s employee. So I would not recommend eBay right now to start a business. Things have changed and unfortunately most of the stuff out there in Internet is incomplete or very old. I personally worked in the anti-scam department and could tell you that 99% of those e-books that reveals “secrets to make millions on eBay” or “how to become a Powerseller in three months” are just rubish.
eBay today is not the same than 10 years ago. (e.g.: info products delivered on line are forbidden and feedback system has been changed).
So if you would allow me I would remove eBay form that list for newbies. Of course, if you have an strong company that could afford the high fees go ahead, but even there is a tendence from big companies to move slowly their businesses to their own online presence. The smartest guys there are just using eBay as advertising plattform to get buyers to their own territories).
I will be here around listening the lessons, because I must confess I bought a lot of stuff in order to get free from my job, but nothing worked properly. I am planing to start my online business. but I need to put my ideas correctly.

This is good stuff, however, if I am wanting to choose an online business and get it set up tonight (my goal) what would one suggest? I have done all of the classes and studies and spent all the money. what affiliate business do you recommend until i can create my own?

I’ve nothing to complain about except the TradingPro System link. Whenever it senses you closing its window the pop-up keep emerging insisting you to sign up for the opt-in list. It’s kind of irritating. I guess pop-under is better than pop-up. Just my opinion. 🙂

You can click at the bottom of that offer to say No to the 79 ebooks. Then you will enter the meber area, and in the member area there is a link to the download page on the navigation links at the top.

Well once again you have a direct and level headed approach. My issue is that with no job, income or Internet skills, I need to make money now. I want to say that I have been able to glean from you and others teachings the very basics. Now what? I have established an “autopilot” type of website, but the company I chose to work through has blocked my access to the site until I do some freelance work for their other customers. While I do not mind doing the work, it is structured so that I could “starve to death” before actually having the site at my disposal. I know that to promote the niche is important. Could you talk about how to acquire some E-mail lists, or the “pay per click” option?

eric, i like what you say & the way you say it. I run a website http://www.concretebasics.org; which is a technical civil engineering website…could you suggest the adsense strategy & affiliates tie ups that i should go for…..its a free website having good technical contents…how do i make it a revenue generating site?
Right now the site looks like one big advertisement. The key to making money with adsense is having good content on your site, which will bring traffic, and then having good placement of the ads.
So you need to put more emphasis on the content, and think about it more from the viewpoint of a potential visitor. If you were searching for info about concrete, what kind of site would you want to land on.
Make it a more enjoyable user experience, and they will be more likely to stick around and click more ads.

i just want to say thanks for all of this, i want to start an online business,but didn’t know where and how to start, right know I’m doing a little bit of MLM (not online) but I’ve always feel that i should do something online and yes I’ve search a lot and like everyone has said i have info overload and finding your site was the best because this is exactly what I needed, my only concern is this:
I am in Mexico and i do not know if all this IM business will work with us Mexicans…because it looks like all we do here in Mexico is to get in youtube,face book and mercadolibre(this is like ebay) and i really like the info product idea and membership site idea.. what do you think?

You could probably find a ready made template, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend going that route. Adsense templates are great, if you’re building a bunch of sites, but I’m not sure that you want your “main” site to be primarily an adsense site. You need to find the focus of your business, figure out how to build a list, etc. My best advice would be to keep following these lessons one step at a time 🙂
I think info products and membership sites are both good ideas 🙂 You can actually combine the two, as you will see in lesson #32.

There are many money making click bank products. According to them(some of the product owners) 98% are scam. How to find genuine 2%. Are you using any of them ? If so How much did you spend before earning the cost of the product?
