The New Eric’s Tips

By | June 9, 2008

Edition #170

In case you’ve missed the conversation, please go back and read why I’m changing Eric’s Tips.

Tomorrow I will be posting the first lesson of my new series. I anticipate that the series will last for approximately 120 lessons, and it will cover how to build an online business from A to Z.

There are a few things that I would like to make you aware of before we begin…

1) I’ll be starting at the VERY beginning. In other words, the very first lessons will cover such rudimentary basics like… who is Eric? And what is internet business?

For those of you who are already successful online business owners, please bear with me. Even though I am going to be covering the basics, I’ll also be throwing in advanced tips whenever
I get a chance (and don’t forget… you can post your questions after each lesson).

Trust me, I’ve been doing this a long time, and I’ve used some very advanced techniques that are not known by a lot of people. But in order to get to those techniques, we need to take it step by step.

2) I’ll be putting the entire series onto my autoresponder sequence. If you don’t understand what that means… that’s OK, we’ll be covering it in a future lesson.

It seems to be the most sensible way to do it. After all, there are new people subscribing every day, and it would be best for them to start at Lesson 1 rather than join the series in progress.

Again, this means that the first few lessons you receive are going to be very fundamental. I’ll be re-introducing myself, as if you had never heard of me before.

If you’ve been a long-time subscriber, please bear with me through the formalities 🙂

Regardless of where you are at in your online business, I encourage you to follow along with the lessons. It’s taken me years to get to where I am, and I am going to do my best to teach you everything I know over the next several months.

As always, you are welcome to leave your comments here on the blog.

Have a great day!

Am so glad to have found you! I’m in my 70’s and do not want to “build a business”. I just want to make some extra money. I’m glad you made that distinction – I did not go for Mike Filsame’s free product for that reason.

Thanks Eric! While I’m not a complete newbie, I’m certainly no expert, either. I appreciate your effort to put out a complete course with attention to detail. I’ve probably missed a few things along the way, and in any case, a little review in the beginning won’t hurt at all. Looking forward to it — much thanks!

I’m so happy to hear someone as honest as you are willing to help others reach success. I have been a subscriber to your tips and have enjoyed every word.

Now I will be able to actually see how to put things together as I don’t have much knowledge with the computer, I’m still learning.

Being that you are starting from the beginning, there is one question that I have. Do you need a business license to do IM? Wouldn’t that be the first thing to apply for before making money?

I’m so grateful that I came accross your site several months ago. Your information has been helpful to realize what it all consists of.

God Bless You Eric. I know now that God has lead me in the right direction by finding you.

Eric. Glad to hear you will be doing a step by step.

If you truly do make it step by step and don’t leave out the little things, then you will be far better than some of those so called Gurus out there. They all say they will give you a step by step system, but they forget that the newbie or little guy doesn’t understand some of it or can not read between the lines. They do truly leave out the small bits which seem insignificant to them but actually stop a newbie from moving forward.

I will be watching with baited breath to see if you can truly teach me how it is done. Even to make a few dollars on the net would be great.

I am one who has accumulated so much information regarding internet business that I am paralyzed by the overload. I’m thinking that you may be just the right guy at the right time to lead me through the maize and help me find my cheese! Fundamentals are a great place to start. Looking forward to learning from a pro.

    Hi Eric,
I really appreciate your generosity, putting together a wealth of informations for your subscribers. It makes the most sense for me and others to know who you are, since most coaches don’t go out of their way to help anybody for free.Like Bill Gates ,giving away Window 95 for free to become a multi-billionaire later,I believe your subcribers will never forget your approach to business and make you a billionaire as well.
    Merci,merci beaucoup Eric cordialement

Hi, Eric! Thanks for thinking of the beginners. Someone really needs to do what you are doing. Too many of us “newbies” are falling through the cracks because mentors assume that we already know some of the basics.

I’m on overload to the point of depression! Don’t worry, this isn’t a cry for help 🙂
I’m just so frustrated at the end of the day at my lack of progress, it’s down right depressing. I’m even paying a coach!! I’m quite literally stuck at square one……deciding what product or service I’m going to sell. For that reason, I’m hoping you will cover affiliate marketing. I’m stuck paying for my coach but you can bet I’ll be looking more forward to your emails than his!
    Thank you!!

I hope everything ends up as thorough as you describe. If it does it will be a fun ride to learn from someone like youself. The problem as stated in earlier posts is there are always overlooked or seem to be understood items, that not all of us get or understand. You’ll gain more than you can imagine if you play ball. All we would like in general is a chance to improve our income to support life’s new screw!

Anyway, may be I missed something along the way, but I’ll do my best to be your good student. Thanks in advance!

As you can see by my mail I have a web site and I’m in the process of having another site built. I need a lot of help to make it succesful. Ive tried PPC, Traffic Secrets, eBay, etc and so far it’s earned me nothing and cost me a bunch. Probably the #1 problem I have “I’m not any kind of nerd/geek in fact I know nothing about what I’m trying to do. I do need to start at square one….thanks for the opportunity.

Eric. Will there be a place (like a forum)
that we can all discuss or help each other.
I guess you are a busy man and dont have the time to answer any of these comments..

If your not I can whip up a forum where we can all chat and help.

I believe this is important to those that do get stuck along the way and need clarification.

    Thanks

Pete- for now I would like to keep all the discussion in the comments after each lesson, and we will see how it goes. I plan on personally following up and answering as many questions as I can during the two days after I release each lesson. Also it would be great if other experienced users pitch in and help answer any questions that they are able. There are 2 main reasons for doing it this way. First, I just like getting feedback on my blog 😉 Second, it will create a good archive for future readers. As they go through the lessons, if they have questions there will be a very good chance that their question was already answered in the comments below the lesson.

I would like to ask you one question .On internet my people sell various packages,CDs ,books for online business. Eachone makes very tall claims. So people like me gets confused in it. What is your suggestion so that. How to find who is genuine & who is fake. Secondly many of them provide only email address without any tel no. So how to diifferentiate.

Besides myself, I’ve got several friends out there who are in my same boat, floundering around without a paddle. So I am recommending them to your list in the hope we can all start rowing in the same direction. I am really looking forward to getting started. And starting from scratch is a good thing.

    Hey Eric,

Thanks for a fresh approach. I’ve been dabbling in my websites for a few years so I’ve learned a lot, but I’m looking forward to walking through this with you. I’m also, like some others here, at a transition in mid-life, and I’ve got an e-book almost ready to go, so I’ll enjoy the “100 Lessons”.

Hey I think it’s awesome that you are thinking of the beginner Internet marketer when it comes to lessons. I know I would have very much appreciated it if someone would have done this when I first started out. It would have saved a lot of headaches and mistakes.

All I have to say is that you are one of a kind and I appreciate you so much.

Bless you, bless you, bless you for teaching the fundamentals. It is like an entirely language for us newbies, which is clearly pointed out to me when I try to have a converstion with my husband on, say, the frustrations of setting up an autoresponder.

Very, VERY much looking forward to this.
