Happy Thanksgiving 2009

By | November 26, 2009

Happy Thanksgiving! While I’m aware that only about half of Eric’s Tips readers are in the USA, there’s no reason you can’t be thankful anywhere in the world 🙂

Today I’ve got a few things for you…

1) A Thanksgiving gift
2) A Thanksgiving CONTEST
3) Some stuff for you to check out

First, I want everyone who reads this newsletter to know that I’m thankful for YOU. Without you, Eric’s Tips wouldn’t exist.

Here’s a FREE small gift as a token of my appreciation. It’s a collection of WordPress Sales Letter themes. In other words, these themes enable you to easily create a sales letter on any WordPress site. This is a $27 product:

Next, this is the 2nd annual Eric’s Tips Thanksgiving contest!

We did it last year and it was fun so we’re doing it again…

UPDATE: The contest is now over. Thank you to all who participated! We had approximately 675 comments during the contest.

How the winner was chosen: As stated at the beginning of the contest, it would be random this time (Last year I had such a hard time picking the best comments!). So I took the total # of comments before the deadline, and went to Random.org and generated a number between 1 and that number. Then I counted down from the top of the comments until I reached that number.

The winner will receive the website that I created in this demo video: Site Profit Bot demo

And the winner is…

Nadiya, who posted this comment:

“Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Eric. I have everything to be thankful for – with all the trials and tribulations that comes with life – I have family that is always there for me and we always find a way to try and make the best of it – always with the thought that there are people that have less than us and so the gratitude is always there. And Thank you for always sharing your knowledge and the free gift – Just what I needed!”

Congratulations Nadiya!

OK, lastly…

Here is some stuff for you to check out while you’re laying on the couch digesting turkey this afternoon…

(No longer available)

Have a great day and a happy Thanksgiving!

    I am thankful for…

…being born and having this opportunity to get to know my family members and so many other wonderful people. To love and be loved.

…God and Jesus providing us the opportunity to have our sins washed away in baptism, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16)

…the opportunities that come with the flexibility of working in Internet marketing such as the opportunity to be involved in international mission work.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Over the past few years, I have gained an amazing appreciation, not only for the blessings of my family, without which I wouldn’t be the person I am today, but, also for our honorable men and women in uniform. To many, this may sound a bit like a broken record, a reflection, perhaps, upon comments provided by many before me. However, I think I come to this heart felt appreciation from a somewhat unique perspective that I pray that many of you never have the opportunity to experience or realistically relate to. I am a Soldier, a Combat Medic, and an Army Nurse. In a time and place of war, I have had the honor to serve amongst some of the greatest individuals America has to offer. Some of these people I got the chance to experience after they rolled in upon a stretcher off the field of battle. Some I worked side by side with in an effort to give comfort and aid. I can’t begin to describe to you some of the things I witnessed. Yes, some of the scenes were horrific in their impact. As fellow human beings we all chose to deal with it in our own way. But, more often then not, we coped. We coped, not only because of the strength within ourselves as individuals, but, also because of the strength that we were able to cling to from those around us…each other. It is in this light, my realization, and love that I give thanks to those men and women who were, and still are, there for us all and who have volunteered of themselves and the support of their families to be the representatives and vanguard of America’s ideals and America’s defense. May they be blessed and recognized around the world as the guardians of freedom for all.

    Hey Eric,
I’m thankful for er… Thanksgiving. Really, it’s still a relatively honest holiday. A time to really reflect on what God has given us.

And, Eric, I’m pretty thankful for your pretty cool approach to business. Nice going!

Eric I have been mucking around for about two years now trying to get “something going” on the internet. I have always wanted my own business on the web. By watching Eric’s tips you have helped me really start “doing it” step by step and have made me so excited and really believe again that I really can have my own business!!!! Thanks for all the time and effort that went into Eric’s Tips.

    Greetings Eric,

Thanks for your generosity for giving out a website.
I, myself, have always believed that “Giving is better than receiving”. If you give out more , you will receive much more in return.
I am forever thankful to my family and friends who have given me so much unselfishly over the years.
What a better time to preach such principle than on a Thanksgiving Day to the children.
May the Almighty be with you always.

    Thank you.

    Happy Thanksgiving Eric!

While there are many, many reasons to be thankful, one of the things I am most thankful for is children. There is nothing in this life like the laughter of a child to brighten your day. My 6 year old keeps me laughing all the time, mostly with her precious laugh.

I was in the grocery store recently and the next aisle over were two kids who were just laughing and laughing and laughing as they played while Mom shopped for groceries. These two kids just brightened my day so much with their laughter. I could hear them throughout the store. I left there feeling so much better than when I arrived. Yes…I am thankful for children!

I am thankful for all that life has given me. I am thankful for all the good things and the bad, the triumphs and the trials, joy and tragedy, health, happiness and sorrows.

I am thankful for this and more, because with out it, I would not be who I am today.

    Thank you,

    Happy Thanksgiving, eric…..

I am most thankful to be able to share yet another thanksgiving with my family and friends…You see, I am a cancer survivor of 4 years now, and am doing well, but can never stop being vigilante about it. The type of cancer that i have, although treatable, is considered incurable. I am thankful for every day of my life and every day that I can spend with my now 7 year old son watching him grow into an amazing young man. Indeed, without people like yourself who are extremely giving, I would never have been able to dig myself out of debt from all of my medical expenses incurred over the past several years.
Thank you, Eric, for what you do…..
god bless and a very happy holiday to all!

I am thankful to God for his many blessings. I am thankful for my family and that we are all healthy. I am thankful that I have a job that I still enjoy doing after 35 years. I am thankful for the men and women that serve in the military and hope they will be able to come home to their families very soon. Finally, I’m thankful for this great country where we have the freedoms that others can only dream about. Thanks to you Eric for the great products and information that you make available. I’d like to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season.

Even though I don’t always agree with you, it is totally refreshing to have a very unbiased and frank no-holds-barred review of things for the benefit of your readers instead of for the total benefit of your wallet like the vast majority of gurus today.

    Hi Eric,
I’m a grateful, thankful American who enjoys the many freedoms this great country offers! Having reached middle age, my awareness has increased in acknowledging my good fortune to be born in this country! I have enjoyed many choices and opportunities in my life, and I’m on a new path, as a website owner. My business partner is my cousin from Croatia. She has always wanted to live in the states and we managed to secure her a visa by starting our ecommerce business. She is faithful and actually was in the private company of Mother Teresa! All this to say, I’m a grateful woman, optimistic about our new venture and the many opportunities this great country offer!
    Happy Thanksgiving Eric!

I have found your issue you need to delete the index.html 0 bytes file that was created when you created the add on. Your site is there OK just go to http://www.sharoncowles.com/shouldigetpetinsurance/index.php too see what your site looks like. With Bluehost the index.html file will overide the index.php once you have done this then http://shouldigetpetinsurance.com will work OK. The reason for the 0 bytes index.html file was to stop visitors from seeing the directory/s you may have on that site.
    I would also suggest that you view the source of a few pages to check that your Adsense & Amazone etc id’s are correct I see google analytics is active as well so check that as well last bit of code before the {body close slash}

“In everything give thanks to God ….” It’s always good to remember and not take for granted that all we have today has been given to us. Even our efforts and energy to achieve what we have today are what we received from God, not of ourselves. All the reason to be very thankful ya?! Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m generally not one to say thanks publically, in my own way i say my thanks when i find the desire to do so. If one were to look at all I have walked through they might think I wouldn’t be all that thankful, the beatings, accidents, medical near deaths and emergencies, the financial struggles, the losses – I remember when I was young i saw thios poster it had a sheepdog trying to walk against the wind and the line said for some life is just one strong headwind after another — it was meant as a funny poster, but I remember thinking that IS my life. It just has been that way. And yet i am thankful that I am not bitter, I am a optimist still and probably always will be. I am thankful I believe in myself and believe in people and the goodness of humanity and being fully human, I believe in love and hope and silver linigs. This month alone i spent days in ahospital, had the flu and my liver enlarged, I lost 30 or so pounds, and had a car accident – and that’s just this month LOL – Most months are not so trying ,,,, most are actually quite good, but at times things are well difficult. I guess I am thankful to have lived fully and to have the opportunity to live fully some more – to have life — and as such to have another day to strive for my dreams and improve what is. There is much I could be unthankful for, but in reality there is still always and continually more to be thankful for then to focus on whatever life’s difficulties, trials and tribulations are. there is a saying from a book by Richard bach (The book is Illusions) which I love – “argue for your limitation and sure enough they will be yours” ~Richard Bach.

It is so true, life and the opportunities that are available to us all are unlimited, so why put limits on what you can be – ;-D

I’m thankful for the brave and self reliant people who built America creating a radical new model- Where individual, personal freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness was codified into a Constitution and supplemented by the Bill of Rights. I am thankful the I can worship the God of the Universe freely in my country, even though forces are hard at work to extinguish that right.

I am thankful that Americans are beginning to push back against the forces of Statism and that a renewed energy and desire for liberty, justice, and individual rights is underway.

    Hi Eric:
Not sure if this is a duplicate comment. I read your email and the Contest Invitation while travelling to relatives for Thanksgiving dinner, and tried to respond using my Blackberry. I am Giving Thanks to God for my family and for my health! My family for caring for me, and especially my wife for taking over the 2 hour drive to relatives this morning. Until late yesterday I was 99% certain I would need back surgery very soon. (Even my chiropractor called my house to prepare for what the neurosurgeon was to tell me yesterday!) (Even the MRI Technician called my house and explained to my wife the severity of my condition.) When I visited the Neurosurgeon’s late yesterday afternoon, he said he would like to try other alternatives and get some nerve conduction studies and try some physical therapy before surgery! If I respond well to the treatments, surgery may be avoided altogether! Praise God! I am also thankful for Eric’s Tips. I signed up for SiteProfitBot yesterday evening and am looking forward to setting up some of my “idle” domains as you teach in the series!
    Happy Thanksgiving!
