Happy Thanksgiving 2009

By | November 26, 2009

Happy Thanksgiving! While I’m aware that only about half of Eric’s Tips readers are in the USA, there’s no reason you can’t be thankful anywhere in the world 🙂

Today I’ve got a few things for you…

1) A Thanksgiving gift
2) A Thanksgiving CONTEST
3) Some stuff for you to check out

First, I want everyone who reads this newsletter to know that I’m thankful for YOU. Without you, Eric’s Tips wouldn’t exist.

Here’s a FREE small gift as a token of my appreciation. It’s a collection of WordPress Sales Letter themes. In other words, these themes enable you to easily create a sales letter on any WordPress site. This is a $27 product:

Next, this is the 2nd annual Eric’s Tips Thanksgiving contest!

We did it last year and it was fun so we’re doing it again…

UPDATE: The contest is now over. Thank you to all who participated! We had approximately 675 comments during the contest.

How the winner was chosen: As stated at the beginning of the contest, it would be random this time (Last year I had such a hard time picking the best comments!). So I took the total # of comments before the deadline, and went to Random.org and generated a number between 1 and that number. Then I counted down from the top of the comments until I reached that number.

The winner will receive the website that I created in this demo video: Site Profit Bot demo

And the winner is…

Nadiya, who posted this comment:

“Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Eric. I have everything to be thankful for – with all the trials and tribulations that comes with life – I have family that is always there for me and we always find a way to try and make the best of it – always with the thought that there are people that have less than us and so the gratitude is always there. And Thank you for always sharing your knowledge and the free gift – Just what I needed!”

Congratulations Nadiya!

OK, lastly…

Here is some stuff for you to check out while you’re laying on the couch digesting turkey this afternoon…

(No longer available)

Have a great day and a happy Thanksgiving!

First off I’m thankful for my wife and two wonderful children, without them I would not be complete. Second most thankful thing is my inbox!! If it was not for this little inbox I would not have received all the tools and information to create an online business and reach all my goals that I had set myself back in your lesson number? Well it was one of the early one’s from “erics tips”. Eric you have given us all so much and I’m sure everyone that is on “erics tips” would agree that we are all very thankful for having you in our inboxes.

You are a very tenacious Guy like the British Bulldog you will not let go, you just keep on working until you get the desired result. I think the secret of your success is that you are prolific, very hard working and you like to win at the game in hand. I am thankful to all of those who produce something, it’s a whole lot better than those who seek to destroy, Soria

I have many things to be thankful for this year. Almost 1 year ago I lost my job. Fortunately I found a new job in February. I met a great man and married him. My grandmother is celebrating her 105th birthday.

I have tried my hand at internet marketing. I think I have a good site, but must not have the right product. I’m not making any money and don’t come up in searches. Still trying to figure all of this out. I may need to go back to the beginning and start all over. It’s not as easy as everyone makes it sounds. I think I am just not getting some key piece of information. Oh well, we live in a land of opportunity and I can try again.

Eric, I am grateful to have my Navy SEAL nephew spending Thanksgiving with me today, safe and sound. I am grateful that I live in a country where, no matter what the economic recession brings, we will rebuild and thrive because that is our character and our nature. I am grateful for marketers like Eric who balance their growth with giving back, through viable projects for those who have less opportunity than we do. For anyone on a computer today … compared with so many people in the world … how lucky we all are.

Happy Thanksgiving! (And remember to give thanks …)

    Hi Eric,

I am thankful for the invitation to be public about gratitude. Any time someone invites me to do this (free website or not!) I think it is an awesome reminder of the power of this expression. I am thankful for many thing but this year I am thankful for time. In my business I have created so my space in my schedule that I have been able to be a full-on mom before, during and after school when I choose and still run a coaching business. I am very thankful for that. Thanks for asking!

    Eric,

I am most thankful for the freedom we have the honor of having of wish allows us to enjoy our families, friends, and the way of life we so often take for granted. I hold family and friends very dear and can’t help but think that without the luxury of freedom we have we would not be able to enjoy our endeavors of pursuing free enterprise and all the luxuries and comforts we have that many do not. I thank people like you and others who help people in pursuing their dreams of financial freedom or gains to elevate one’s lifesyle of his or hers and their families. We should all give thanks to being. Thanks

I woke up to the smell of a wonderful breakfast that my wife made. I am thankful for her and for my sense of smell.

When I awoke, the sound of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade filled the room and I’m thankful for my sense of hearing.

Eric, I have lots to be thankful for.

I do thank you for your down-to-earth tips and lessons for those of us who strive to make it in the IM world.

However, the things I’m most thankful for have nothing whatsoever to do with the internet or marketing.

I’m thankful that I live in the USA. Even with all of it’s flaws and troubles, it’s still the best place on earth to live. I’m thankful for the men and women that give their lives to protect us from our enemies. I’m thankful that I am free to choose what I do for a living, have a say in choosing who my leaders are, to be able to worship how I please and to whatever GOD I might choose.

I’m thankful for medical technology and what can be accomplished today. For doctors and scientists that can figure out how to direct a tiny beam of light to a remote area of the brain to destroy a tumor, as they did for my wife.

And finally to the many families that have lost a loved one, but passed on the Gift of Life to people like me that were in dire need of a life saving transplant.

Yes Eric I do thank you for all that you do for us trying to make it in the world of IM, but in the grand scheme of things, you are quite a bit farther down on the list of things that I’m thankful for.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings. I wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving.

    Hi Eric,

I’m so thankful that the Pilgrims were some of the first settlers that landed on the shores of this great country of ours. Where despite the economy and a few other problems, we can still have our voices heard and we have the right to worship the God of our forefathers. I am thankful that as a small boy I was adopted by an American soldier in Germany and that he brought me here to live. I am thankful for my salvation and for the fact that I can read and own the Holy Bible. I’m thankful for my health, the ability to think and reason, and that I have choices. I am thankful that I was delivered from a severe drug addiction and have been clean over 14 years. I am thankful for all the wonderful Christian people that God has put in my life who love me just for who I am and not for what I can do for them. I am thankful that when my heart gets broke, I have a God who can more than make it better. I am thankful for those who give more than they take and I am especially thankful for all the men and women in our military who daily put their selves in harms way and those who gave their lives so that we might have and keep these great freedoms and choices.

    Hi Eric,

You’re a bright light among the internet marketing world and for that I’m thankful. But I’m truly thankful for life itself.

I believe our purpose in life is to serve others and to find our own happiness. To that end I’ve found both and have true happiness in my life with a great business, a wonderful family and a wonderful life.

    For this I’m forever thankful.

    Happy Thanksgiving Eric,

As a northern neighbor from Canada we have already had our special Thanksgiving Day celebration but having lived in and worked with so many Americans over the years I still enjoy celebrating two Thanksgiving Days. – Double the turkey ; ) – We are very fortunate to live in countries were we can be free to be who we want to be and have the opportunities to attain our goals and that is one of the things that I am grateful for.

I have subscribed and unsubscribed to many newsletters etc over the years that I have been working on my internet business, but you are the “only” one that I have stayed with from the first time I subscribed to you. I enjoy your straight forward approach to what works and what doesn’t. Thank you for your “Tips”. Wishing you and your family all the best on this day!

15 years ago I lost my son in car accident and I am eternally grateful for our time together. I am thankful for my my family, friends and my wife of 32 years. It’s important in these tough times to keep our prospective and remember what is truly sacred. Let’s hope our need and desire for money does not overshadow our relationships with those near and dear to our hearts. I was forced, like many others, to learn that once a loved one is gone their gone for ever. So I am thankful every time I hear a loved ones voice and see their face. I also thank Eric Holmlund for Eric’s tips. Eric truly gets it. He appreciates his good fortune and gives back to the community. So thank you Eric and have great Thanksgiving!

    Hi Eric,

I am one of the ‘other half’ of your subscribers and live in the U.K. Just purchased Site Profit Bot, excellent stuff… website will be up in a jiff!!

Here’s my take on being thankful…

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire, if you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don’t know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes they will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary because it means you’ve made a difference.

It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfilment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.

I have this pinned to my office wall, it kinda helps me get through the day!!

    Best regards,

    David

Today, as everyday, I am reminded that my father used to say “every day above ground is a good day”. I am grateful for my health, for being alive at this time, for my wife and family, for leaving in a country that allows us to be all we can be. I grateful for the ability to help others and for the many friends that have supported me through my journey. It really is not how many years you live but the life in you live in those years. Today as always I live with an attitude of gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving.

    Hi Eric,

I am thankful for finding your site and for your presence on the net. Father has done well by you.

I too am thankful for this country, America; however I pray for knowledge and wisdom for all its people to open their minds and hearts to the tragedy, economic and political and judicial, that their government brings down upon them behind the scenes.

I also pray for knowledge and wisdom of all things Internet Marketing.

And I pray for the communication skills to pass my knowledge on to others.

    In Jesus name I pray.

    Amen and Amen.

    Blessings in truth,
    Dave

P.S.: I too am interested in this site bot. But there has always been a question in my mind as to whether it is sound to post links within this dynamic content that would take people off of the site. Could you comment on that please?

And, do you know of any good WordPress plugins you could recommend that would search for keywords and bring in dynamic content: written news, blogs, forums, video, and pictures?

    Hi Eric,

I’m grateful for the opportunity to express my gratitude! …about so many things, the more time I allow myself, the more I am grateful for. But I’m grateful above all for life and all the beauty and wonder and variety and opportunity it offers. And for my fellow human beings, every one of them, for the beauty and contrast they bring to the world, and for taking the leading edge of consciousness further than its ever been before! – most especially in the form of the internet, such fertile ground for imagination and creation – I love how immediate and accessible and communal and free and powerful it is! Life is beautiful. I give thanks …pretty much for everything!
Thank you too Eric, for much that I have learnt : )

I am thankful for being able to put both feet on the ground every morning, see the world around me, hear life as it unfolds and feel the emotions that the good Lord blessed we humans with. I am also thankful that this has been a deciding year for me, and I have come to the realization I am never going to be happy working for a paycheck and building the business that belongs to someone else. My happiness lies in doing for me, and that is what I am thankful for – having the ability to understand myself, know what I need to do and begin by making up my mind to JUST DO IT.

Thanks, Eric. I make it a point to read your blog and I’ve recommended it to a lot of friends. I also bid and lost out on a couple of your auctions that recently closed, and since I see you have new ones up, there must have been a reason why someone sniped me at the last second – twice, LOL.
