Happy Thanksgiving 2009

By | November 26, 2009

Happy Thanksgiving! While I’m aware that only about half of Eric’s Tips readers are in the USA, there’s no reason you can’t be thankful anywhere in the world 🙂

Today I’ve got a few things for you…

1) A Thanksgiving gift
2) A Thanksgiving CONTEST
3) Some stuff for you to check out

First, I want everyone who reads this newsletter to know that I’m thankful for YOU. Without you, Eric’s Tips wouldn’t exist.

Here’s a FREE small gift as a token of my appreciation. It’s a collection of WordPress Sales Letter themes. In other words, these themes enable you to easily create a sales letter on any WordPress site. This is a $27 product:

Next, this is the 2nd annual Eric’s Tips Thanksgiving contest!

We did it last year and it was fun so we’re doing it again…

UPDATE: The contest is now over. Thank you to all who participated! We had approximately 675 comments during the contest.

How the winner was chosen: As stated at the beginning of the contest, it would be random this time (Last year I had such a hard time picking the best comments!). So I took the total # of comments before the deadline, and went to Random.org and generated a number between 1 and that number. Then I counted down from the top of the comments until I reached that number.

The winner will receive the website that I created in this demo video: Site Profit Bot demo

And the winner is…

Nadiya, who posted this comment:

“Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Eric. I have everything to be thankful for – with all the trials and tribulations that comes with life – I have family that is always there for me and we always find a way to try and make the best of it – always with the thought that there are people that have less than us and so the gratitude is always there. And Thank you for always sharing your knowledge and the free gift – Just what I needed!”

Congratulations Nadiya!

OK, lastly…

Here is some stuff for you to check out while you’re laying on the couch digesting turkey this afternoon…

(No longer available)

Have a great day and a happy Thanksgiving!

I’m thankful for life, family, and friends. We buried my mom last week and although life here is not so bad, I’m thankful she is in a better place. Thanks also to you, Eric, and the few others that put out truly valuable information to us.

Eric, I am grateful that God allows me to wake up every morning and see my family. Their is nothing more important than seeing your family everyday. My two children are almost fully grown up, and I can say any parent would be proud of them. But I have to say, I have no idea where I would be today if they were not around. At dinner tonight, hold hands around your dinner table, and give thanks to God for allowing you to be in the company of friends and family. God deserves your thanks.

Not just THUS day, Thanksgiving, am I THANKFUL I am thankful, and SINCERELY give thanks EVERY day for so many things such as: (1) Knowing and having a special relationship with my Creator; and understanding a reality: that He has a VERY special plan and purpose for my life – (2) To have a VERY special mother who, over the past years, got on her Ham Radio and asked for prayer and did not give up when the doctors used the word ‘hopeless’ each time I visited Deaths door step. I was born with two Syndromes; one very rare, lethal in males, with no known cure. The second one is not lethal, yet there is no known cure. Though the doctors said I’d never see my 7th birthday I will soon be 16! I invite you to read my story: I am “Tony” at:

    http://international-childrens-medical-foundation.com

Unlike other guys, I am not able to do a lot of things, like playing contact sports. However, I am also so very thankful for – (3) My love of music. I have six instruments; my keyboard and violin are my favorites. I do not read music; I simply hear it and can play it; what a GIFT! I love composing classical music; people say my compositions sound like Chopan.

I am Home Schooled. I am also thankful: – (4) That early I showed an interest in the internet so my mother and I began a journey together: that of learning how to build websites. All of the content on my sites are original; each article that I write (sentence construction, grammar, spelling, etc.) are all a part of my home schooling.

I build the sites, promote them and then sell them. However, there are a couple of website that I will not sell:

    http://papillons-r-us.com (and)
    http://appalachian-treasures.com

I am also thankful for: (5) The fact that I know why God has spared my life and the work that He wants me to do: That of being a Doctor, going around the world and saving the life of children . . . and their pets. I will then do as I do now: tell everyone that God is REALLY a Healing God!

Mr. Eric, I want to tell you that I am also thankful for: (6) YOU. For two reasons:
    (a) Your ‘Eric’s Tips’ information and guidance has been invaluable to me and my mother.

    (b) I just LOVE the fact that you have taken mission trips to BELIZE . . . MY COUNTRY OF BIRTH! In fact you have visited the general area where God chose to bring me into this world; that is very special to me!

I am not able to return to Belize . . .yet. Meanwhile, my mother has taught me about our rich cultural heritage and I have taken that information and her pictures and built another website that will not be for sale:

    http://belize-vacations.net

This website is still evolving and will not be complete until the day that my mother, her camera and I can return to Belize!

If I win your Thanksgiving Site Profit Bot Giveaway Gift you can rest assured that I will truly be THANKFUL and will put it to GOOD use! Via your video demo I can see where this software would be an excellent tool for building quick one page sites.

I’d like to take the liberty and share some of my recent sites with you.

May you and yours have a blessed day today!

Having the ability to make a great living from the internet is what I am thankful for. Having written several books for the small business market over 15 years ago, these books provided the tools for small businesses who did not have a large budget to market. Although, my books had great reviews from the media, including Inc. Magazine, the publisher did not focus on marketing my books to make a monetary success. I have re-written my books and will self-publish and market on the internet through my website. I know these books will be a success that they were meant to be as they are able to reach out to entrepreneurs who have the dream to become successful.

What a great idea, Eric! Thank you for the quality work you do.

I am thankful for the Internet – for the freedom and true democracy it offers to anyone with a good idea who is willing to work diligently to make it happen. The Internet doesn’t care about my history, my size, age or gender. If I do a good job, the results tell without prejudice or artifice. If I miss the mark, I immediately have another chance to make it right. I’m grateful that it has allowed me to work from home instead of commuting to a stressful job. It has given me the power of self-determination.

I’m thankful that I now literally have the world at my fingertips on a tiny Vaio laptop, the sum of mankind’s knowledge in my hands, from Genesis to Hulu.

I’m thankful for the Internet because my body of friends has grown to encompass all parts of the globe – India, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Norway, Canada, the U.S. – and my body of knowledge has burgeoned as well through the words and works I’ve found online.

I am grateful in my heart to live in an age of such miraculous connection, knowing that I’m part of a larger picture and contributing my own piece to a greater world, making a material impact on others’ lives. We are at the dawning of the very real potential for world harmony and personal independence, and the Internet is the single most important factor in making that possible. For that, I’m deeply grateful.

I’m thankful for: my loving family, amazing best friends, warm cozy home, my great real estate career, the nice clothes I wear, the car I drive, my precious pets, the water I drink & the food I eat, my good health, & most important being able to live, luv, & laugh along lifes wonderful journey.

    Hello Eric,
First of all, I appreciate you, and am thankful for your consistent “rain or shine” -seemingly tirelessly written very useful, professional tips. You are doing it “unpaid” for some of us while some gurus don’t do half of what you re doing, and they are well paid for it – eerr..wouldn’t even open their mouth if they are not paid for it – so to speek.
I am thankful for your tips and you being such down to earth advisor to so many – newbies like me, I am one of many who are reading your tips every day, and so far I was so busy with all the other reading materials as well, that I neglected to take time to thank you for what you are doing .
It is very important to us newcomers to this arena. I mean arena, where the intellectual fight sometimes brutally being fought out, so smoothly, that one hardly realize it, that within a short period of time got rid off of thusands of dollars. Sometimes I ask myself:- is what we’re here for? – to learn all that, on a very nice, sometimes smooth, and sometimes not so nice way. Well, “such is life” as the saying goes – yet we are getting hooked, and continue doing what we are doing, because we are determined to to earn or make money.
But, I am thankful of the chance that there is a light ahead, and I learn more everyday, and it will help me chase that ball to that goal where I began to kick/chase almost 3 months ago, and I am still chasing it, as I have never made any money yet!!!
I thank you for what you are doing for me – and all who you are helping to Eric, it is priceless.
    I truly appreciate you.

You touch on the fact that you have an EPN account with eBay. Will this website building software create a site that would meet the strict criteria eBay insist upon for being accepted into their affiliate program?

Oh, by the way, the one thing I am thankful for this year and every year, is the fact that I am not a Turkey!

    Hello Eric

First up happy thanksgiving and thanks for giving me so much over the years. I’ve been following you for some time and I have a few websites I made using adsense templates I bought from you who knows when ago.

I have a couple of questions..

    1. If I create new websites in SPB and enter the FTP details for these new websites the same as the FTP info for the websites I created originally from you’re templates will they be over written and the new SPB site show up? I want to update the poor performing ones. It seems to me that SPB may be the ideal way to get them performing again without to much effort.

    2. I would like your opinion on whether or not the SPB sites will leave a footprint for Google to pick up and throw these new sites straight into the Sandbox. If this is likely then is there anything you think can be done to help support the SPB software that will help?

As you have bought the software yourself I would appreciate your thoughts on any tweaks that can be done to make the sites get indexed quickly and rank quickly.

Also how easy is it to create new templates, can they be created and added by the user?…maybe a new business here??

I know other folk have asked about more video tutorials….I think the value add would be to create -How to get the best out of SPB- type videos.

Anyway, this is the first post I have made although I have been following you for what seems like years. Your stuff has really been an inspiration to me in the past…happy thanksgiving and God Bless you and your family.

It’s important to have the love and support of family and friends to help you through tough times. I’m also thankful for honest marketers like yourself for providing us with great informative content keeping us abreast of the ever changing trents of internet marketing.

Eric’s Tips has been one of the 2 or 3 newsletters that I look forward to reading, in the short time I’ve been a marketer the information you’ve provided has cut my learning curve by more than 70% and for this I thank you, keep up the good work.

    Happy Thanksgiving Eric!
I am Thankful for many things today and everyday. I am thankful for my precious children who, although they do not live with me now, I have had the pleasure of growing very close to. I have been separated from their mother for 2 1/2 years now and I was their sole caretaker for the first 1 1/2 years after we first became separated. She became overwhelmed by her responsibilities as a mom and wife and walked out on us. I had been a plumber for 22 years and lost my wife, business and home all in less than 10 months that year. I grew very close to my 3 young children (ages 5, 3, and 14 months) and had to let my business go due to lack of responsible babysitters. Shortly after I lost my home and my credit was shot. There were a series of painful struggles during the past few years but by far the worst was when she decided she wanted the kids back and the courts granted her physical custody. My heart was broken, and I was reduced to a Sunday only Daddy. At that point I had been getting online initially to try and find a job (I had not worked for someone else for almost 15 years at that point) and quickly realized that there was no recession online. I spent alot of time and money on useless products that only taught me how NOT to spend my money! Fortunately there are a few people on the internet who OVER DELIVER (like you Eric)and I have finally started to put the pieces of the puzzle together. I am on close to 100 mailing lists and get lots of emails everyday…most of which I delete or unsubscribe. You are the ONE that I look forward to reading everyday. Yes Eric, I am thankful for you and the VERY valuable information I receive from you! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Thank you for making a difference in my life and my internet business through your efforts. B.T.H.

What I’m mostly grateful for this year is the thought, resolution, application and implementation of a plan to dig 2 wells in an African village where they now have to walk miles daily to get water. Being able to help others that cannot return the favor is truly a blessing…although the hugs from the kids in the Village will more than make it all worthwhile.

I am thankful today that at age 15, after living a life of physical abuse, Dr.&Dr. Robert Barnes obtained legal custody of me in a court of law. I am thankful I was able to attend a christian university that taught me to be a good scholar and also apply that knowledge to make a difference in the lives of people. I am grateful today for the many people that Yahweh has sent into my life who gave me counsel, showed me the way, and listened for hours to my seemingly never ending needs. I am grateful today for a country wherein I can voice my opinion, make my vote count, and dwell in a relative state of peace and safety. I am thankful for my beautiful Sonya, who shows me every day what true sacrifice and love really is. And finally, I am thankful to Yahweh for demonstrating his love for me by giving the complete representation of himself, his son to live, die, and rise again to show me how to live, how to die, and give me proof that death itself will be conquered. Selah.

I am thankful for my family and very thankful that when it comes to starting a new business on the internet, I do not have to wing it on my own like raising your first child, but there are those who can and have helped me learn the ropes the easy way.

    • for all the gifts you sent to me that I am using in my affiliate business now,
    • for all the time you spent creating 53 incredible quality lessons that without any doubt serve as a key to many people’s problems,
    • for all the great and honest product reviews you wrote and presented
