Happy Thanksgiving 2014

By | November 27, 2014

Happy Thanksgiving! I know that only about half of Eric’s Tips readers are in the USA, but gratitude transcends all borders.

First, I want everyone reading this to know that I’m thankful for YOU. Without you, Eric’s Tips would not exist.

Here’s a free gift as a token of my appreciation. It’s a 111 page ebook that I recently had ghostwritten on the topic of freelancing. I know the contents are great, because it was written by one of my freelance ghostwriters who has been working for me for many years. In other words, she was writing on her topic of expertise. It is brand new and has never been released before.

You get to download it for free today WITH Master Resale Rights. This would be a helpful book for anyone who is interested in making money as a freelancer (especially as a freelance writer). You can also sell the ebook or add it as a bonus to any product.

Next, here is the 7th annual Eric’s Tips Thanksgiving contest!

Wow, this is the 7th year we’ve done this!

It’s a good thing to express your gratitude for what you’re thankful for. In fact, it’s been shown to have health benefits.

So once again, we are going to do a group exercise to demonstrate our thankfulness.

All you have to do is post a comment below saying something you’re thankful for. It could be one word, or it could be much more… it’s up to you.

Update: Here are the 10 winners which were chosen randomly…

Something I’m thankful for…

I recently had the privilege of visiting India again. I’m thankful that my children got to experience another culture. I’m thankful for all the ways I am blessed, including the opportunity to help others. I’m amazed by all of the beautiful things I was able to see, but most of all by the people. I would like to share some pictures I snapped of these beautiful people in cities, villages, and slums…

Have a great day and a happy Thanksgiving!

I am grateful for the promises of God, without which we would have so little hope for the future.

I’m thankful for good health. Health is real wealth because you can enjoy very little in life when you’re always sick.
So I thank God that I was given a strong body, and I keep it healthy by treating it with the dignity and respect a gift from God deserves.

Every day there is so much to be thankful for. However, at this particular moment, having just come in from shoveling snow, I am greatful for the strength to shovel it, and for the beauty of the snow.

I am thankful for every good thing and every good person in my life! I am thankful for the opposite as well. I have had many hard times and associated with bad people who have taken advantage of my trusting nature. I am grateful for those lessons learned such as forgiveness that on occasion has changed an enemy to a friend. I am grateful for being close to death to more fully appreciate life. I am thankful for enough and more than enough food and basic resources for myself and my family so I can make someone’s day by helping in a small way. I am thankful for sharing sometimes even when I didn’t have enough which really made my day. I am thankful to our Father in Heaven that lets me see my true relationship with each of my brothers and sisters. I am eternally grateful for our Father sharing His son Jesus Christ to show us the way.

I’m thankful my children don’t have to sleep on the street.

Eric, if I am lucky enough to be drawn amongst the winners, please donate my $20 to charity, possibly something which helps the street children of India, but any thing you choose would be fine.

Today, we must pause for a moment and remember what we all are thankful for in our individual lives.

Be mindful that it is God who gives us life and breath and everything that we have in our lives to be thankful for. God is ultimately in control of our lives and He seeks those of us who will trust in Him for forgiveness and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. It is when we place our faith and trust in Him, that our lives have real meaning and we focus on others more than on ourselves and our own needs and situation.

Today, we live in a world full of turmoil, hate and all manner of evil. We must realize that this life is not our ultimate destination but merely a classroom that prepares us for what lies ahead.

Pass on a little grace and blessings to those you love this holiday season and begin with a little prayer to your creator who loves you so much that He gave His only begotten son to die on a cross for your sins, so that you may know Him and have eternal life…beginning today!

God Bless you all and thank you for stopping by to read this today.

Hello Eric, well what have I to be thankfull for? Well for starters I probably would not be here if my prostate cancer had not been discovered in late1969. Unfortunately radiation didn’t get it stopped but thanks to hormone injections every three months my psa is down to .01 and even though i’ve been slowed right down and now i’m on statins and furosemide tablets nightly and daily i’ve still managed to get the cash together to get a website built for myself. How long for., who knows? I’m not bedridden like some unfotunate people though so yes I have weverything to be thankful for.

I’m grateful to my good Lord, first of all. He has blessed me unbelievably, and continues to bless me today. Without Him, I can accomplish absolutely nothing. With Him, the possibilities are endless.
I’m also grateful for this opportunity I have to have been able to start an online business. This is the easiest time in the history of this world to start a business.
In accordance with this, I’m grateful that there are still some ethical marketers left, like you Eric Holmlund, that one can look up to as a mentor!

This year I am thankful that I get to spend maybe what will be the last Thanksgiving and Christmas with my mother.
She is scheduled for surgery in Jan. The Doctors have said that she must have this surgery but at the same time she may not make it through this surgery. I am trying to proper myself for losing my mother. But at the same time she just might make it. The Doctors aren’t doing the surgery now because my mother is to weak and they said that she would not make it at all. She was released from the hospital and is home for the holidays. I am thankful for all of the times I have had with her. I am thankful for a mother who tried her best as a women who came to the states from Berlin Germany. Who taught herself how to speak English from Siamese street. I am thankful that I got to take a trip with my mother to Germany in 1990 when the wall was coming down. I learn so much while I was there. Mom and I had a blast. I am thankful for my mother and all that she had given to me and my brother. She is a very strong woman who has endured a lot in her life. I love her very much. That is what I am Thankful for. My loving sweet Mother.

If I should start saying thanks to our Lord God Almighty about everything He gave me, done for me, I think there won’t be enough “Pages on this computer to fill, I’ll have to purchase a bigger computer. But to some it all up, I can just say I’m thankful for our Lord God Almighty’s awesome indescribable love and grace for all of us, but for me specific, because He heard my cry when I was down in the gutter, struggling to get out of the stinky mud and garbage.

He grabbed my hand, pulled me out of that sinking hole of sin, and placed me on the Rock, our Lord Christ Jesus. I’m thankful that He opened my eyes and ears, so that I may see the difference between good and bad, and that my name is written in the book of life with our Lord God Almighty.

Because God saved me, I ask God everyday to be used by God as an extended arm to reach out to others, so that they too can be saved and be with the Creator of the Universe and all that’s within, our Lord God Almighty. Lastly Eric, thanks for all your tips and tricks, they help a lot.

I have so many things to be thankful for but i have to single out getting my oldest daughter back. She left us to be institutionalized several years ago wen she was 16 for very self-destructive behavior. All we could do was love her and pray for her during this time. She got older and was released, but she was not much different. Unfortunately, we still had younger children at home and couldn’t bring her back into our fold and she didn’t really want to either.

To make a long story shorter, she got pregnant and it changed her life. She stopped the cutting and the drugs and everything else she was doing. She reached out to us and when we saw how changed she was so quickly – it was a miracle. We helped her get back on her feet and we are celebrating Thanksgiving with her and our newest granddaughter.

So for those parents out there with a similar situation, please just keep loving them and praying for them. God will see you all through like he did with us.
