Happy Thanksgiving 2023!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Can you believe it’s been 16 years in a row doing this whole thankfulness exercise and contest? As I’ve been saying for the past few years, I don’t really post on this blog much these days, but we’ve gotta keep this tradition alive for as long as we can, right?

Even though only about half of Eric’s Tips readers are in the USA, I always say gratitude knows no boundaries!

I love keeping up with this tradition because it’s a chance for me to really appreciate all of you – my subscribers and customers. You’re the reason I’ve been able to run this business for so long.

So, first things first… a big thank you to YOU. I’m genuinely thankful for your support and for reading what I have to say. Whether you’re a newbie to our annual Thanksgiving contest or a veteran who’s been with us for all 16 years, your involvement means a lot. Thanks for being here!

As usual, I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I thank God for life and for all He has done for me.

I mentioned last year that we added a new family member through fostering. This continues to be a great journey, and I am so thankful for our youngest daughter, along with the rest of my awesome family.

My wife is an absolute rockstar of being the best wife, mom, and so much more. I’m so thankful for my better half.

In 2022, I rediscovered my love of fishing; a passion of my childhood and youth. In 2023, I took it to a new level. More days on the water, more places, more and bigger fish, and a constantly growing skillset. I’m truly thankful to have the ability and the opportunity to connect with nature and experience God’s creation in this way.

Here are a few videos from my fishing adventures this year…

My attempt to ice fish the highest lake in North America…

A video by a friend, as my wife and I joined him for some alpine fishing…

Another video from Lance, as we ice fished together a couple weeks ago…

Next, here is a freebie as a token of my appreciation.

(As promised, I removed the download link after a few days to keep the value for everyone. Be sure to stay subscribed to Eric’s Tips and download future bonuses right away!)

Now, it’s your turn! Here is the 16th annual Eric’s Tips Thanksgiving contest!

It’s a good thing to express your gratitude for what you’re thankful for. In fact, it’s been shown to have health benefits.

So once again, we are going to do a group exercise to demonstrate our thankfulness.

All you have to do is post a comment below saying something you’re thankful for. It could even be just a few words. There are no bonus points for writing more or writing better. It’s about participation.

NEW: I’ve added a new feature this year. You can optionally upload a picture, video, or audio file! For example, a picture of something you’re thankful for! And if you’re not a “word person”, you can express your thankfulness through art, music, etc.

In a few days, I will choose 10 comments at RANDOM, and will send $20 via Paypal to each to those 10 people! It’s a small way for me to share a bit of the harvest. I will also announce the winners here on this post, as usual.

If you need examples or inspiration feel free to check out any of the previous years.

Please post a comment below and let us know what you’re thankful for 🙂

NOTE: Your comment will not appear right away, but don’t worry. I’ll check them and approve them periodically.

Have a great day and a happy Thanksgiving!

UPDATE: Here are the 10 winners!

Hi Eric, I”m thankful every day for my health and happiness. I’m Canadian and we had our day about seven weeks ago when the US observed Columbus Day. It’s wonderful to have a day such as this but if everyone could come with just one, two or three simple reasons to be grateful that would go a long way to improving their situation. Thank you Eric for the gift and the opportunity on this platform to express myself.

I am grateful for getting started online so many years ago. In fact, my first WordPress website (which is still running today) is AllAboutGratitude.com. Each day I start my own personal day with at least 5 things I am grateful for – I do this before I get out of bed,

I am happy to have promoted so many of your offers in the past.

Wishing you and your family, a Happy Thanksgiving!

    Be Well,

I’m thankful for my family, friends and community.

I live in a rural area. People here watch out for one another like a neighbourhood watch. If they see a strange vehicle pull in the yard, notice the mail hasn’t been picked up or anything else out of place from a normal day, they do not hesitate to check out and make sure everything is okay. If someone is having a hard time, we’re there to help mow yards, clear snow, bring in wood, provide a hot meal or whatever it takes to make sure things are looked after.

I thank my lucky stars that I live in such a community and would never take it for granted. It’s a sample of humanity at it’s finest.

I’m thankful for my church family. Because we are ‘brothers and sisters in Christ’, the friendships I have from church are often stronger than family bonds. I thank God for my relationships with my church friends.

Mom is 91 years young and suffers from dementia. As we aged, we tend to forget to do certain things automatically. Like swallowing food into our stomach instead of inhaling to our lungs. That’s called aspiration in the medical field. I fed her at the nursing home small pieces of food. I didn’t know it went into her lungs, and she could have died from pneumonia. If she didn’t learn how to swallow again, the next step was to put a feeding tube near her stomach. However, the stay at the hospital save her life and now she is on mashed up foods again. Very grateful from the Big man above.

Saw this the day after Thanksgiving but I am always thankful for my health and family. And, sadly, I got a new respect for first responders as my nephew is a fireman and an EMT. He got called to a fire on Thanksgiving where a family was lost. Heartbreaking. Please say a prayer of thanks for those who never get a break physically or emotionally and a prayer for those lost.

I am grateful for the nature around me in the city in which I live, which is nicknamed ‘the Garden City’. In particular, I love trees. Walking among or alongside trees, to me, is beautiful. The air is fresher near trees. They murmur gently as the breeze rustles through their leaves, and they cry out in a storm. They are always there, like guardians, yet ever-changing as the seasons progress. They are one of the few things that I find peaceful. Attached is a photo of a tree in my garden.

I am very thankful to the God ,Almighty for my health. I am equally grateful for a healthy and trouble-free family. The last two years or so have witnessed a significant rise in inflation including higher food costs.

Thank God, Life is still pleasant generally. That has made it possible for me to resolve to devote myself to building an online business that will cater for the needs of my family and I.
I am grateful for the valuable knowledge that i acquired from Erics Tips for more than a decade.

    Hi Eric,

I’m thankful for so much, I don’t know where to begin! haha. I’m Canadian, so we celebrated Thanksgiving in October.

First, I’m thankful for my Savior, and how He continually blesses me and my family, even though at times I lack faith and trust.
I’m thankful my my health, and the health of my husband and family.
I’m thankful that my son and his family have moved from Texas to Washington State, and are sooo much closer to us in Alberta, Canada. We can now see our little granddaughter much more often.
I’m thankful for all my grandchildren and the time I’m blessed to have with them.
I’m thankful for my online business and the little income it provides us to help with our retirement years.
OK… there’s much more but you get the drift, haha!

Blessings on you and your family,
    Suzanne
